NURS 7302 Adv Physiology & Pathophysiology

This course provides a comprehensive study of advanced physiology and pathophysiology, including general principles that apply across the lifespan, from prenatal through old age and death. Corresponding anatomical structures and clinical conditions are included to provide a foundation for advanced nursing practice. This course uses a body system approach to study general principles of physiology and the sequential progression of disease processes across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on homeostasis, regulation, variables, and feedback mechanisms. Select clinical situations are presented to provide a foundation for advanced practice.
