NURS 7215 Critical Concepts in Practice: Acute and Chronic Pain Management

This course provides an in-depth study of the theories and physiology of acute and chronic pain. Focus is on assessment, invasive and non-invasive treatment modalities, and pharmacotherapeutics. The purpose of this course is to provide an advanced study of the current theories of pain. Pain pathways and the impact of invasive, non-invasive, and pharmacologic agents are discussed.
