RELS 3332 Mary, Mother of Jesus
This course provides an overview of the ways in which different Christian communities have understood Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and explores how these communities have creatively expressed devotion to her. Ongoing developments and emergent traditions in Marian theology and devotion will also be considered, along with the influences of economic, political, cultural, and historical circumstances on Marian beliefs and practices.
