Teaching Residency Seminar is a professional development course designed to examine the experiences, issues, and challenges that occur during the teaching residency placement. The various TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) competencies will be examined and discussed in view of their applicability to the knowledge and skills required of the beginning teacher. Students enroll in this course concurrently with the final teaching residency placement under the supervision of a certified teacher and a university supervisor. As the culmination of a teaching candidate’s preparation, this class must be taken in the last semester of the program.
