Professional Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration in the School of Professional Studies is designed for the professional and is aimed at developing in each student a broad understanding of how the elements and processes of business organizations relate to one another and to the external environment. The MBA will develop proficiency and confidence in all of the functional areas of business. In addition to providing the technical skills required for an executive-level business position, this degree also emphasizes ethical considerations of doing business. The programs are supported by experienced faculty with expertise in all functional areas of business.
The Professional Master of Business Administration program requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework and can be completed in 10 months. No GMAT or GRE is required.

Admission Requirements
Unconditional Admission: Unconditional Admission to the PMBA program will be granted to applicants who satisfy the following requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
- An evaluation by the graduate program advisor
- Evidence of completion of the Common Professional Components (CPCs)
- An adequate foundation in Accounting I & II, Management Information Systems, Economics (Macro and Micro), Statistics and Quantitative Techniques, Global Environment, Marketing, Legal Environment, and Management
- GMAT not required for unconditional applicants
Conditional Admission: Conditional Admission to the PMBA program will be granted to applications who satisfy the following requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5-2.99
- Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
- An evaluation by the graduate program advisor
- Evidence of completion of the Common Professional Components (CPCs)
- An adequate foundation in Accounting I & II, Management Information Systems, Economics (Macro and Micro), Statistics and Quantitative Techniques, Global Environment, Marketing, Legal Environment, and Management
- GMAT not required for conditional applicants
Conditional Admission (Probationary): Conditional Admission Probationary (2.0-2.49 GPA) to the PMBA program will be granted to applicants who satisfy all general requirements for admission noted above but who have a GPA of 2.0 but less than 2.5. Applicants with a GPA above 2.0 but less than 2.5 MUST take the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) with a score of 450 or higher before they can be admitted into the PMBA program. Those achieving these scores will be granted Conditional Admission Probationary status and will be required to complete the first four courses with a “B” or better.
As a general rule, applicants with an earned baccalaureate degree with an overall GPA less than 2.0 will not be admitted.
Evidence of an earned Baccalaureate degree from a degree-granting institution accredited by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education if post-secondary education was completed in the United States, or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that country.
If a student falls within a conditional admission probationary status and expresses their desire to waive the graduate entrance examination, then they must:
- Provide justification of 300-500 words that includes their reasoning and how they will be successful in their program.
- Justification must be sent to and approved/denied by the Dean of SPS
- Approved: Student will submit 2 letters of recommendation (1 professional & 1 academic) in place of the exam for a complete file review
*2 academic or 2 professional letters can be substituted
**Letters cannot be submitted from relatives of the applicant
- Denied: Student will be required to submit scores and obtain minimum required scoring for acceptance
Professional Master of Business Administration Degree Plan
To fulfill the requirements for the Professional Master of Business Administration degree program, the student must complete 30 hours of graduate coursework.
Students can choose to specialize or to build their own specialization by selecting 3 hours each from two specializations. Students may also use qualifying transfer credit to satisfy the additional 6 hours needed to complete the program.

General
Students in the general category will take all the core course and may choose to fulfill the program credit hour requirements by taking 3 credit hours each from two chosen specializations. Six hours of transfer credit may also fulfill the program requirements.
Asset Management Specialization
Students in the Asset Management Specialization may choose 6 hours of coursework from these courses.
Data Analytics Specialization
Students in the Data Analytics Specialization may choose 6 hours of coursework from these courses.
Human Resource Management Specialization
Students in the Human Resource Management Specialization may choose 6 hours of coursework from these courses.
