EDUC 6382 Designing and Facilitating Processes for Community and Social Change

This course prepares students to design, facilitate, and sustain participatory change processes in diverse social and organizational contexts. By integrating design thinking, action research, popular education, and systems design, students will develop the theoretical grounding and practical tools needed to drive meaningful transformation in concert with affected communities. Through hands-on projects, reflective practice, and iterative learning, students will gain expertise in facilitation, participatory research, community-driven evaluation, and adaptive leadership. The course is designed for graduate students and professionals in organizational leadership, education, community development, public health, and social innovation who seek to design, implement, and sustain meaningful change efforts.
