HIST 4345 Global Refugees

Students examine the Global Refugee crisis explore themes such as conflict, natural disasters and other issues leading to human displacement and refugees, the International Refugee Protection regime, refugee rights and human tights, camp life and conditions, and third country resettlement, especially in America.  The course will include a Service Learning component which will allow the students an opportunity to volunteer with the refugees resettled in America and learn their stories first hand.

Prerequisite

At least 3 semester hours of upper division History courses. May be taken as a CLST or INST elective.
