HIST 4320 American Women's History

Students study the subject of women at the center of the historical discussion.  They trace a number of different interrelated themes from the early 19th century to the present to help students better understand the changing conditions and ideas about unpaid housework and paid work, relations between different groups of women, and the way relations of power have shaped those interactions.  Finally, students will learn about the ongoing struggle for political rights and the changing notions of "proper" roles for women.
