Program Goals

The goal of the CHE Program is to prepare professional health educators to provide effective health education services based on the seven areas of responsibility with their competencies and subcompetencies as set by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc. areas of responsibility include:

• Assess needs, assets, and capacity for health education
• Plan health education
• Implement a plan of action
• Conduct evaluation and research related to health education
• Administer and manage health education
• Serve as a health education resource person
• Communicate and advocate for health and health education.
