PMIN 2323 Medieval Philosophy

This course studies major Western philosophical thinkers from the fifth through the fourteenth centuries. The neo-Platonic metaphysics of St. Augustine and the synthesis of St. Thomas Aquinas will be studied as well as the Jewish and Arab thinkers who influenced him. Major themes will be their views of being, the human person, human knowledge, morality, and God.
