Student Identification Cards
All entering first-year and transfer students have an opportunity to receive a UIW ID card during orientation. At the request of a university official, students are required to present this card as proof of student status at UIW. Failure to present a valid ID card may result in disciplinary action. Lost, misplaced, or missing ID cards must be reported immediately to the Campus Life Office. There is a charge to replace a lost or stolen ID card if the replacement is requested within the same year the card was last issued. Delay in reporting a lost ID card may result in unauthorized use of the card. The University ID card is non-transferable. Altering the card, misrepresenting identity, obtaining the card under false pretenses, or using another person's ID card is prohibited. Misuse of the UIW ID card may result in confiscation of the card and disciplinary action, up to and including suspension from the University.
