THAR THAR 2326 Stage Combat
This course introduces the principles and practices of stage combat for theatrical and animated storytelling. Students develop skills in safe, choreographed unarmed and selected weapon combat, emphasizing physical storytelling, character intention, timing, and ensemble responsibility. Through practical application and movement analysis, students explore the ethical and aesthetic representation of violence while building repeatable performance sequences appropriate for live performance and animation reference.
