EDUC EDUC 2321 Creative Arts and Art Making in Early Childhood

In this course, students will engage with the elements of and key concepts within visual arts, dance, music, and theatre. This knowledge and experience will then be applied to promote young children’s creative expression across diverse communities and to support interdisciplinary instruction in early childhood settings. Students will also engage in various art-making practices. This course addresses the role of the creative arts in healthy development and play, while drawing on professional guidance from both arts and early childhood experts. This course serves as the Fine Arts Core Requirements for Education-Elementary and Interdisciplinary Studies majors. Prerequisite: None
