EDUC 3346 Teaching Students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders

Teaching Students with Emotional & Behavioral Disorders examines the academic, social, and behavioral needs of students with emotional and behavioral disorders in elementary and secondary settings. The course focuses on the preparation of general education teachers to meet the needs of students in inclusive classrooms. In addition to establishing a foundation in emotional and behavioral disorders, the course will also address characteristics, behavioral and academic supports, and collaboration with families and other professionals. Prerequisite: EDUC 2315: Survey of Students in Diverse and Inclusive Settings or EDUC 2316: Survey of Special Education in Secondary Settings
