OMED 8473 Academic Medicine Elective CLerkship
This four-week experience is designed to provide experiential learning in the field of academic medicine. This rotation will involve direct participation in the design and implementation of undergraduate medical education curricula, as well as didactic instruction to develop the student as an educator. The student will collaborate with one or more faculty curriculum leads to support educational efforts in at least one school of medicine course. Students will achieve a better understanding of the complexities of academic medicine and are encouraged to integrate and apply osteopathic principles and practice in all aspects of the rotation. Students must receive advance approval from the Phase II Curriculum Director and/or Chair of Office of Clinical Affairs to participate in this elective clerkship.
