Accounting Concentration
The Bachelor of Business Administration degree program with a concentration in Accounting prepares students for professions in all functional areas of accounting.

Accounting Core Coursework
The Accounting concentration requires completion of 15 credit hours of accounting courses.
Accounting Elective Coursework

Additional Accounting Concentration Requirements
Concentrations within the BBA degree may offer selected topics to address special needs and interests. These courses are listed as 4399 Selected Topics and may be used to satisfy concentration requirements. Refer to descriptions of each concentration for more details.
Internship for Credit
Refer to the internship descriptions of each discipline for more details. All internships for credit require permission of the internship instructor and registration with the Career Services Internship Program. Internships are primarily an academic and/or intellectual endeavor, with the goal of establishing the link between theory and practice directly related to the student's major field of study. Once the approvals are in place a learning agenda will be established between the internship instructor and the student. Weekly activities and hours worked are reported to the internship instructor and Career Services. Most internships require a minimum GPA of 3.0 and completion of 12 hours of study in the discipline.
Business Economics Concentration
The Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Business Economics is a 120 hour degree program that prepares students to succeed in a wide range of non-academic careers.

Finance Concentration
The Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance is a 120-hour program that prepares students for careers in the most significant areas of finance, such as Financial Planning, Banking, Investing, and Corporate Financial Management. The program includes two components: Its core courses focus on developing the foundations required for the financial industry. In contrast, the second component is a series of elective courses that allow each student to specialize in their preferred area of finance.

General Business Concentration
The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business degree program is designed for students interested in obtaining an interdisciplinary business administration degree. The Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business is a 120-hour program that covers a variety of topics within the business world. As part of the general business curriculum, students will choose courses from the fields of accounting, business law, economics, finance, information systems, international business, management and marketing. The degree program offers a comprehensive and contemporary business education, readying students to succeed in any number of fields. General Business Concentration Coursework
The General Business concentration requires 18 credit hours of coursework.
12 credit hours of coursework are required at the 3000 level, and 6 credit hours of coursework at the 4000 level, from these eight areas:
Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, International Business, Management, and Marketing. Of these, six credit hours must be at the 4000 level and no more than 6 credit hours per discipline may be applied towards the concentration.

International Business Concentration
The Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business is designed to provide a broad analysis of business opportunities abroad, as well as political climates, trade barriers, government incentives, and trade practices. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in International Business program, other than international students who attend UIW on a student visa, are required to participate in a short-term study abroad program for at least one week or a semester-long study abroad program. Students may study abroad as soon as their second semester in their sophomore year.
