IPED 7310 Ethics and Responsibilities in Artificial Intelligence

This course is an in-depth exploration designed for individuals across various fields, including but not limited to technology, law, healthcare, and education. This 16-week course delves into the ethical dimensions and societal implications of artificial intelligence, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding and addressing the challenges associated with AI development and deployment. Without requiring prior expertise in ethics, philosophy, or AI technologies, the course equips participants with critical insights into bias, fairness, privacy, accountability, and more, through a blend of theoretical learning and practical application. Engaging with real-world case studies, current research, and interactive workshops, students will emerge with a nuanced understanding of how to navigate and influence the ethical landscape of AI in their respective domains.
