HADM 6305 Health Services Financial Management I
This course provides students with the foundations of financial and managerial accounting applied to the unique healthcare services delivery environment. Topics covered in this course include healthcare insurance and reimbursement methodologies, preparing financial statements originating at the individual business transaction level, evaluating financial statements and other operating indicators to assess and improve the operational status and financial condition of health services organizations, managing the revenue cycle, and conducting cost and profit analysis.
Prerequisite
This course is required for students in the Master of Health Administration program. Other students may enroll in this course as an elective.
