PSYC 2370 Child and Adolescent Development
This course examines the continuity of human development from conception through adolescence. The interrelationship among the physical, cognitive, and psycho-social domains of development is explored at the various stages of child development: Prenatal, Infancy & Toddler hood, Early Childhood, Middle Childhood, & Adolescence. Upon successful completion of the course the student will have an understanding of the basic concepts, theories, and research methodology that contribute to the understanding of Child & Adolescent Development. Specific topics may include prenatal development and risks, brain development, learning, attachment, parenting, self & identity development, peers, temperament, and emotion development.
