Program Overview

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography degree program focuses on coursework that will provide the skills necessary for a successful commercial career in portrait photography, product photography, fashion photography, newspaper and magazine photography, and other photographic fields. The degree program also requires coursework in business, accounting, and marketing, which provide an important foundation for future work in the arts and any related field. The goal of the program is to impart an informed understanding of art through creative work and discerning observation, as well as prepare the student for entry into an MFA program and/or for participation in the professional art world.

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography Degree Plan

A minimum of 121 credit hours are required to complete the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography degree program.
