NURS 7333 Advanced Psychopharmacology for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
This course introduces psychotropic medications, including their neurochemical basis, mode of action and clinical application; principles of pharmacological medication selection and use based on clinical indicators. It is designed to assist the Psychiatric- Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to develop competence in prescribing and monitoring psychopharmacological agents used in the treatment of common psychiatric mental health disorders across the lifespan. This course builds on the conceptual principles developed in nurs-7341'>NURS 7341--Pharmacotherapeutics for Advanced Nursing Practice.
