YCST 2320 Sociocultural Differ/Learning

This course will explore Sociocultural Theory by Vygotsky and its impact on education. Students will also gain a strong foundation in how Critical Education Theory affects educational perspectives in the classroom. In addition, students will understand how the Search Institute’s Developmental Assets affect student learning, engagement, and social behaviors. Students will be able to recommend appropriate programs to improve outcomes for at-risk youth.
