CRIJ 3335 Civil Liability

This course is designed to provide students in depth understanding of issue identification in matters pertaining to pretrial civil litigation. Emphasis is places on the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure; some coverage of the Federal Rules will also be included. The course aims to further develop each student's knowledge of the main legal principles for pretrial civil procedure. To enhance the student's knowledge of the mail legal principles for pretrial civil procedure. To enhance the student's knowledge of civil procedure, and its application to issues arising in actual complex civil litigation, including strategic considerations. Students will have an opportunity to improve their advocacy and analytical skills by arguing in class motions based on the material under study.
