MIS 4325 Predictive Analytics and Forecasting
The course deals with the development of predictive models. It begins with a discussion of the issues related to defining the target population, defining the target (or dependent) variable, collecting and cleaning the data, and selecting the appropriate modeling technique. Students will gain an understanding of how to build different predictive models, compare those models, and present their findings. A general understanding of the mathematics underlying each of the modeling techniques will be gained.
