METR 1332 Social Media in Broadcast Meteorology
Social media has, and continues to, change broadcast meteorology and communication with the viewer. The viewer has come to expect instant communications via social media. The broadcast meteorologist is expected to produce content and engage with the viewer demographic. Social media influences what stories we read, what videos we watch, what conversations we have, and what products we use and buy. This course will give future broadcast professions the tools and experience to successfully utilize social media to produce content, engage the viewer and effectively communicate specific information via social media.
