Students survey major themes in the history of human development in the physical environment after the Middle Ages to the present. The main emphasis is on the interaction between humans, their developing societies and the environment. The consequences of technology in relation to modernization, industrialization and human habitation form a central theme. Fulfills CORE requirement.
