MATH 2374 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers I
	
This is a three-hour course that covers those mathematical topics considered as essential elements for teachers of elementary school mathematics. Development of mathematics concepts through the process of doing mathematics will create a foundation for mathematical understanding. Numerous problem-based activities are interwoven with a discussion of mathematical content to produce a course used to engage students in mathematics exploration.  This course will not count as an elective for mathematics majors or as a core mathematics course. This course serves as a prerequisite for MATH 2375.
