HIST 4338 Topics in South Asian History
Students explore ancient, medieval, and modern history of South Asia, thematically and topically. Students will examine how different factors--political, social, and economic and ideas of caste-class, religion and religious identities, gender, colonialism, nationalism and revolution and lastly regionalism--have shaped and molded the region's history. May be repeated for credit. May be taken as a CLST or INST elective.
