THAR 4383 Dramatic Theory and Criticism

What is Theory and why is it important? How is theory useful to theatre and performance scholars? Students explore major trends in dramatic theory and criticism from the Greeks to contemporary critical theory across the disciplines. The course provides a foundation in general areas of theory.
