THAR 2350 Survey of Musical Theater in the U.S.

This course will expose the student to the most popular of the many forms of music on the stage. These works will include revues, operettas, operas, and Broadway musicals. In this course the student will develop the ability to differentiate among the many styles and time periods and form a time line for the individual style formation and maturation of each particular genre. Visual and aural learning will take place. (Various)
