PSYC 3325 Drugs and Modern Society

This course builds the foundation for understanding substance abuse, the risks and consequences of substance abuse, and the effect substance abuse has on the individual and society. The course covers the biological aspects of substance use and abuse including the psychopharmacological aspects of various chemical compounds that make up both legal and illegal substance use. The course also focuses on national patterns of use and how these influence society.
