MUSI 3351 Music of Asian Theater

This course introduces the student to music as an integral component of selected types of Asian theater. Representative works will be explored from a variety of analytical perspectives, including ones informed by history, theater studies, art history, cultural theory, and ethnomusicology. May count toward the world music requirement (musi-3348'>MUSI 3348) for all Music degrees other than the B.M. degree with a major in Music Therapy. Will satisfy the upper-level Music elective requirement for the Music minor. (As needed)
