MUSI 1110 Freshman Music Seminar

This course introduces freshman music majors to core repertory, health and safety issues, and career options for musicians. Students will listen to representative musical works, in recorded and occasionally live performance, and develop basic literacy in a variety of musical styles. Students will learn about the maintenance of health and safety within the context of practice, performance, teaching, and listening. Various career options in music will be introduced by faculty, guests speakers, or visiting artists. This course must be taken twice. (Fall, Spring)
