General Studies (AA)
A general studies associate degree is a general degree that gives the students a base of knowledge and skills necessary to eventually move on to achieve a higher college degree, such as a bachelor's degree. Students should consider an associate's degree in general studies if they plan on earning a bachelor's or master's degree in the future, but have not yet decided what field they would like to pursue.
Requirements
A. 18 hours University Core Curriculum
B. General Education Selection (18 hours):
The student will select 21 hours of general education courses that may include courses to satisfy core curriculum requirements toward the baccalaureate degree.
C. Electives to meet 60 total credit hours for the degree
D. 22 Clock hours of Community Service is required
Students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours at UIW where 24 of the final 30 hours are taken at UIW. Active-duty military students must take a minimum of 15 hours at UIW.
